Loverly Audrey Hepburn

Anyone who knows me, knew this was coming. :) I admire and adore loverly Audrey Hepburn, so very much. A timeless beauty, so graceful, inspirational, who loved to love and loved to laugh. A splendid role model, indeed.

"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person." -Audrey

"Sex appeal is something that you feel deep down inside. It's suggested rather than shown. I'm not as well-stacked as Sophia Loren or Gina Lollobrigida, but there is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don't need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain." -Audrey

Along with her intelligence and peculiarity, I also admire her "style". She worked with Hubert de Givenchy on many film sets, as well as in her personal life. Some photos of those times are here. I have a close replica to a Breakfast at Tiffany's dress; I wore it as I pretended to be Audrey for a day, Halloween '08.

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only
words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never
alone
." -Audrey

One could gab about classy lady Audrey, but I won't. Words aren't needed.

I love rock & roll so put another dime in the jukebox baby

Music, music, music. I love just about all of it. I'd say its a huge part of my life. I'm always discovering new tunes and going to shows. My friends know that if they're looking for some different music or want to go to a concert, they come to me. There's a plethora of good shows coming up this month and the next that I'm pumped for. One of which is the Barcelona and Low vs Diamond show in December. I've seen Barcelona play THREE other times, so I recommend everyone checking them out. My favorite small-venue show places are Caterina Winery, Empyrean Coffee House, and Calypsos.

I am often inspired by music. This is a guys tee I've painted that was influenced by music as well as a great friend- a guitar with music note going into piano keys at the top, accompanied by angel wings. I didn't want this to look... "perfect", so I've left the imperfections. I'm happy with the result.

The only guys clothing I do is painted tees, maybe with some light stitching, the majority of which are done for friends. I really enjoy doing them, they're so unique to the guys' personalities and interests, they really are one of a kind!

Enjoy today. I dare you all to do something CRAZY. But not too crazy. Maybe jump out behind a wall or bush and scare your siblings or roommates. Or play a prank on someone. Do it. I dare you.

Peace outski.

There is a story here.

I hit up a thrift store or two this weekend, found a couple treasures.
I came home with a pleated pink skirt and an autum-leave-brown colored coat, with faux fur in the hood as well as interior, cinched at the waist.

Sometimes I wonder what story was told of the previous owners while these items were in their possessions. What kind of people were they? Did she dance to Louis Armstrong in this skirt? Did she walk down a wintery snow fallen street, holding hands with a well dressed dark handsome man who called her Darling in this coat? ...I can't wait to write my own story.
Be well.

A Finished Story.

Its saturday evening. I've recently finished a lovely dress... dark green crushed velvet bodice, fun maroonish skirt bottom, black sash ending with a bow in back, finished with lace embellishments.
Check it:

Comments are appreciated, so please, don't hold back.

Im hoping to get a store set up on etsy.com in the near future, so that I can have some pieces that I've done available for purchase. This dress along with other loverly dresses, skirts, tops, and revamped items will be up for purchase. Someday.. Its coming though, slowly, but certainly.

Im feeling creative; dangerous things could happen.

Set the Scene

A calm coffee shop downtown Coeur d’ Alene, live music being played by a local handsome fellow, and I sit at a table and chair next to a window with hot chocolate-y goodness in hand, looking out onto the dimly lit rainy evening street, writing my first ever blog. Swell :) Well, lovelies, lets get the show on the road, eh?
I dig vintage glam, thrift store finds, classic films (ESPecially those that loverly Audrey Hepburn star in), music, the rain, Autumn, the little things, long walks, laughter, and making some of my own clothing. For awhile I had some painted and embroidered tees in a boutique located in the Spokane Valley Mall. That was so neat-o to have something that I put a lot of love, time, and creative juices into and have that product be hung in a high-fashion boutique, sold to admirers.. Groovy, baby. In this blog I write, I’ll spill about my view on fashion, my clothing I make or pieces I revamp, vintage what-nots and whozits, classy ladies and gentleman, the little things, my favorite thrift store finds, European style, inspiration and new discoverings.. along with randomosity that goes on now and again.
I’ll post weekly, don’t wander too far. :)

Be real.
